Davy Jones

A terrible thing happened on February 29, 2012. Davy Jones, formerly of the famous rock band The Monkees, died of a heart attack. I must say that it greatly affected me. The Monkees have always been my favorite band. He has been greatly missed.

I said that to say this. I’ve been collecting his recordings for years. I’ve been trying to get all of his CD’s. However, some of them have become so scarce that they are nearly impossible to find at any kind of reasonable price.

Reasonable is a relative term, but to me that’s about $15 for a CD. I will pay more than that, but some of these have went for over $100 for a single disc! Now, that’s just crazy.

I have a lot of his CD’s, but not all of them. I’m talking about his solo CD’s and not CD’s that he made with The Monkees. That’s a different subject altogether.

His solo CD’s are as follows.

David Jones
Davy Jones
Christmas Jones
Don’t Go*
Just For The Record Volume One*
Just For The Record Volume Two
Just For The Record Volume Three
Just For The Record Volume Four*
JustMe 2*
Daydream Believin’
Let Them Be Little*

*CD’s that I don’t have.

Note: “Live” and “Let Them Be Little” are actually still available.

The other CD’s (Don’t Go, JFTR 1, JFTR 4, JustMe, JustMe 2) are no longer in print and are nearly impossible to find. If you have copies of these CD’s that you would be willing to part with for a reasonable price please let me know.

And remember: No bootlegs! I am not interested in spending any money on your homemade junk. I want the real original pressing or nothing.

Davy Jones’ music has been a major influence on my own music.  For that, I will always be grateful.  I’m still a daydream believer.

Have a great day!
